Common Questions
What smart phones are recommended to use with MobileConnect?
Apple iPhone series 8 to present
Google Pixel 3 to present
Samsung S and Note Series 8 to present
How does the user listen to the audio stream?
Patrons will have the best experience using wired headphones to listen to the audio stream. It is also possible to listen through hearing aids or a cochlear implant in T-position with the combination of an induction neck loop that is connected to the smartphone or by connecting hearing aids or headphones using Bluetooth. Wireless headphones do work with the system, but patrons may experience a slight audio delay due to the latency of the Bluetooth signal between the phone and the headphones.
What if my smart phone does not have a headphone jack?
To connect corded earbuds or headphones, Apple iPhones with a Lightning connection port will need an Apple Lightning-to-3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter. Phones with USB-C ports will need a USB-C-to-3.5mm Audio Adapter. These adapters can be purchased from multiple retailers.
